Repairables Simulation Model (REPSIM) simulates a multi-echelon supply system to test supply/level-of-repair decisions in the Ship Support Improvement Program. This Monte Carlo simulator models an item's life-cycle behavior from its installation aboard ship through screening, repair, and procurement. It reflects the Uniform Inventory Control Point (UCIP) mathematical inventory control and repair scheduling procedures. Time spent in transportation is also modeled, and numerous item characteristics are capable of variation.

REPSIM's ability to produce estimates of requisition response time and supply availability, along with procurement and repair costs, has proven particularly useful.
